I mean like the type of laser guidance range finder you have on the AH-64D, F-15, F-16 and other aircraft which projects a beam to help calculate target distance and range. You were just saying it was really accurate so I wondered about the sighting mechanism on it.

It's like any other ballistic mass tosser. You want night vision? Optics? Laser guidance? I suspect that it is nothing more than an anti-materiel rifle without any high tech guidance built into the ordnance. It is only a 20mm round. And likely the platform will always include optics, spotter, laser range finder and varying ordnance effects.

Sadly, the gun was never sold and has been dropped from the Steyr product line.
