I wonder how many aircraft Ark would have carried if she had survived to use a carrier deck park in the Pacific.
 
She was designed for 72 but actual was about 60 an issue being a shortage of aircraft not space. With more aircraft available, the use of a deck park and other features I would expect 75 - 80 as being feasible.

Using a guide the Illustrious was designed for 36 and ended up with 52 an increase of 16, So adding 16 to 60 (being conservative) would give you that 75 ish ballpark number.
