After watching "Frozen In Time" again last night, wanting to know if there are any B-29 wrecks in the world that are intact, besides the one in Lake Mead?

I seem to recall that Somewhere like China Lake or Nevada nuke test sites etc, there were three B-29 parked in desert and left there because they were covered in radioactive fall out. I suspect one could by now attempt to clean them since many of redionuclides would have short half lives.

Hiroshima has barely detectable radiation from WW2 now.

The three at China Lake were targets. The CAF went through the three to grab the best pieces to make "FiFi".

They pulled another from China Lake after Fifi. I beleive it is in Wichita being restored by Boeing retiree's. The nose art was "Doc" of the seven dwarves.

Thanks for the info. I thought that there were some wrecks in the Marianas area?
