Does anyone have a copy of The B-29 Superfortress - A Comprehensive Registry of the Planes and Their Missions by Robert Mann for a quick reference?

I'd like to know the details for serial number 42-63627, a B-29B of the 315th Bomb Wing at Guam. It was flown by my father, first as copilot, later as aircraft commander. I've had the attached photo for decades.

Thanks!

Bruce

Thanks for the help!

I used a different photo of my dad's B-29, a close-up of the nose art, to create a license plate for my Mustang convertible.

More about the relationship between the bomber and the classic car is described on my blog site: Sweet Chariot

Very cool!

Nice looking 'Stang.

is that a '69?

Thank you--it's a 1967, extensively modernized with a late-model AOD transmission, digital instrumentation and cruise control, upgraded a/c (it's a factory a/c car), and 1990 Mustang bucket seats, to name a few. Later this summer I'll be taking it on an 8,000 mile trip from coast-to-coast and back again.
