Bad documentaries.

I have a few of the Victory at Sea episodes, trackend. They do have some great footage, but the narrator kind of annoys me. And it is also good old wartime propaganda. There are some good pieces of info in them. I bought a 3 volume Uncle Sam collection of wartime propaganda, documentaries and war bonds movies. Some good ones there, some are okay.

I enjoyed the original documentary, "Memphis Belle" by William Wyler. Modern ones, I enjoyed Price of Peace and the Shooting War. Price of Peace and Shooting War had alot of veteran interviews and you really get to see and hear some gritty details without any gloss-over. At the end of Price of Peace, you see some young modern Marines helping an Iwo vet up the sand dune from the beach and they fade into the battle with Marines ehlping each other up that dune. Chokes me up every time.
