I share with you the history of the medium bomber built by the Douglas should replace a company's success, the B-18 Bolo, but eventually supplanted by its competitors. Does anyone know if the plane came into action during WW2? If so, how was your performance? Wikipedia have good pages for both the B-18 and B-23 including the large number of remaining examples of each type.
I always thought the B-23 had rather odd proportions. Maybe that's just because it wasn't around much to get used to.
