Here is a kit I picked up recently JUST for the box art.
This is a rather strange painting to represent the A6M2 Type 0 fighter because as far as I know, only one aircraft ever had this configuration.
V-172 from the Tainan Kokutai was forced down and recovered by the AVG in China. There are other photographs of this aeroplane that are missing the panel behind the cowl. One was fabricated locally to replace it, and thus we have louvered panels there unlike any other Type 0 fighter.
The paint job on this box art is also very similar to the repaint to Chinese Nationalist Air Force markings.
