Ha! Thanks mate. Make that the only Canadian jet fighter. I don't really count the Arrow since it never got past the prototype stage.
Nice pics. Especially the one of the Lightning.

Interesting shot of the Hunter as I'm pretty sure that RAF Hunters were never fitted with air to air missiles. They passed trials and a number of airforces did use them, but not the RAF.

Forgive the quality of the photo but I took this at an airshow around 30 years ago. The Red Arrows were doing a display when they suddenly pulled up and I took the shot as the sun was glinting off their wings. When the film was processed you could see why they pulled up.

That's an 11 Sqdn. Lightning F.6. I like the Gnat shot too.

Here's some Lightnings for you!

in my old village where i used to live next to the coal mine were at least 10 lightnings on lorry trailers waiting to be cut up for scrap.it was criminal to think what was going to happent to them beauties.

No thread on Post War British Jets could be without the Hunter. These are FRADU Hunters and the only fast jets that I have flown in. My Gliding Instructor used to take me up in a T7 that they had when they didn't need the seat for anything else. Must have broken every rule in the book as I was only 17 at the time.
