C-46 with Jet Pod?

Saw this photo yesterday.
Is that a jet pod under the fuselage?
I couldn't find a listing of it in the Variants section of the wiki article devoted to the C-46 Commando.
And are those props feathered?

Transocean, with El Al engineering developed a twin Marbore 2 boosted C-46 in 1955. I suspect that the FAA / CAA rejected the certification, ot there was another problem. See

The cowl flaps on Commandos were only on the lower half of the nacelle ... I have no idea what those upper flaps are doing there and they look fixed to me. Certainly odd.

Yup, they look like inspection doors, although nothing visible here. Special modification?
