They all flew some even managed 100mph though many of them were so slow you could have got out had a stroll around and got back in your seat

Soooo many things running through my mind while looking at these photos! Like, who would, in their right mind, be a test pilot for one of these? The passenger (?) versions; were they paid to get on? Did the deigners have apartments with Eifel tower views (inspiration)? Were more than one built? I certainly hope not.
