Unimog 404.011, what does the .011 mean?

According to the net sources the 0 mean the newer sub-series of the 404 vehicle. Actually the model U110. The number 11 means the driver's cab type and the engine variant.

Yep .. IIRC the 111 series was the older military series while the 011 were the newer one introduced at the beginning of 70'.

Forgotten cars from TV series - Jim Rockford in the Pontiac Firebird

I liked them all. I think the '77 version as it was closest to the '79 I once owned. It was painted a similar color. I think the color used on Rockford's might have been a custom mix. James Garner didn't like the snoot of the '79. I thought the '79 was gorgeous. It was a real p.o.s, though.
