Moritzburg Castle, Germany
Moritzburg Castle is a Baroque castle in the German city of Moritzburg (15 km northwest of Dresden), in Saxony (Middle East Germany). Central Europe is home to one of Germany's most impressive Baroque castles. The castle, which can be reached on a 5km alley, is surrounded by a park and sits on a small island in the middle of an artificial lake. The building is carried on the four corners of multiple cylinder towers and is characterized by a white-chrome facade, typical for baroque buildings in Saxony. The castle's stairs and terraces are decorated with sandstone statues, reflecting the character of hunting castles and castles dedicated to entertainment. The houses built, among other things, a Baroque Museum (Baroque Museum) and the stables of the state of Saxony.

Manasija Monastery, Serbia .
The monastery was founded in the early 15th century, between 1406 and 1418, by Despot Stefan Lazarević, a Serbian medieval ruler and son of Prince Lazar.
It is famous for its impressive fortress walls and architecture. It had a large and strong defense complex, consisting of 11 defensive towers....

A huge fortress on a 500m high hill over the town of Harburg, Bavaria, Germany. The Harburg fortress was first mentioned in the 12th century. For some 800 years it has been the property of the famous House of Oettingen. Most of the castle's buildings date back to the medieval times. The fortress is protected by an impressive wall with 6 towers fitted with walkways and a bergfried. A legend says that the fortress had a well 129m deep and it would take you 13min to get water to the surface (calculate the speed and check if it is true). Large-scale reconstruction was started in the 18th century but was not completed, that's why the medieval looks of the castle complex survived.

The Castle of the Teutonic Order in Malbork is a 13th-century Teutonic castle and fortress located near the town of Malbork, Poland. It is the largest castle in the world measured by land area and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The fort of San Leo, also known as the fortress of San Leo, is located in the municipality of the same name in the province of Rimini. It is located on the top of the rocky peak that overlooks the town of Leontine and dominates the Valmarecchia. Currently, the rooms of the fortress house an arms museum and an art gallery.San Leo, a wonderful art capital, mentioned by Dante Alighieri in the Divine Comedy, is the hub of the historical region of Montefeltro and is the city that gave it its name.

Château du Sailhant is a thousand year old château-fort located in the mountainous Auvergne region of central France.

It stands on a dramatic triangular volcanic spur with one hundred-foot perpendicular cliffs on three sides overlooking a mystical sixty-foot waterfall that drops into a crater-lake formed from a prehistoric volcano. Accessible only on one moated side, the site has been occupied from the most remote of times.

Bourscheid Castle is located near the village of Bourscheid in north-eastern Luxembourg. The medieval castle stands on a site with archeological evidence of structures dating back to Roman times.

Standing majestically some 150 metres above the River Sûre, it is enclosed by a circular wall with 11 watchtowers. Although first mentioned in records from 1095, the castle appears to have been built around the year 1000 on earlier foundations, in what was then the County of Luxemburg, part of the Holy Roman Empire.

It was extended on several occasions: the outer wall dates from 1350, the Stolzembourg house from 1384, and the courtyard from 1477. Behind the gateway from the end of the 15th century, a ditch protected by four towers barred access to the upper and lower castles. The southern and eastern towers are from 1498 and the artillery bastions were built in the 16th century.

Bran Castle is a Romanian castle built in medieval and Gothic style. It is located in the municipality of Bran (near Brașov) and stands on the ancient border between Transylvania and Wallachia. In mass culture the castle owes part of its fame to the author Bram Stoker. It is assumed that he set his gothic novel Dracula in this very place, since that of Bran is the only castle in Romania whose architecture coincides with that described by Stoker. Therefore, it is commonly known as "Dracula's castle". Today the castle is home to a museum dedicated to the history of Transylvania and the collections of the royal family. It is one of the most famous attractions in Romania.
