Color Help

Hello all! This is my first post. I have stumbled on this forum in my search for the proper color of a giant scale plane Im building. Im just amazed with all the detailed knowledge that everyone here has. Im hoping a Zero Guro could give me some opinions or answers to couple of my questions. I would highly appreciate it.

I have been doing research for the proper color for my Giant Scale A6M3, Tail # IHA-159, supposedly belonged to Iwakuni Kokutai in 1943.
Top Flite(TF), a giant RC Kit/Arf manufacturer makes this and I think they just picked the closest monokote covering they have, which is to me not historicaly accurate. Their covering is more of a gray than what I think should be green. I have not seen a gray Zero.

Here are pictures below of the TF Zero im building. Also a picture of Hasegawa model that has same tail no., theirs show a green Zero.

Do you gents think it should be green than gray?

Appreciate any help. Thank you in advance!

Welcome to the site. Going by one book and it's totally in Japanese, I'm going to go with green...

...I'll look through a couple of more books to verify.

Yep, A6M3 at that period, maybe a field cover camo, but green. To be sure.

Mitsubishi built A6M3 model 22, most definitely dark Green upper over the lower surface Olive Grey or grey green colour, the lower fabric surfaces would be a light Grey colour, as represented by my A6M2 Zero

Thanks for all the help gents! Took your advice and repainted her. Here she is, although the full sun is not showing much of the distinction. I still need to put the decals back on.

Thank you! These is a group of flyers in our flying club who are Warbird fanatics and have been competing on scale topgun annualy.
Im still a wannabe compared to their level. Hence Im reading around here a lot. You gents are true enthusiasts when it comes to detail.
