Thank you Njaco, I was looking for this.

From the above link, have now found the grandson of another of the servicemen on board, and another gent who has previously been successful in the location of a missing aircraft "Beautiful Betsy" downed between Darwin and Brisbane. This search took 30 years! That plane remains onsite, well marked and has a plaque in place. A well visited place apparently.

The grandson has been researching since 2004.

A month or so ago we created a submission and forwarded it to Unrecovered War Casualties in Canberra. An email received earlier this week from the Case Manager, Asia/Pacific Unrecovered War Casualties tells me she has seen part of the report being prepared and feels that they are doing a great job. She reports that they are chasing up a few leads and will get back to us once the report is finalised.

We are hoping they come up with some significant findings and from these, funding may be allocated to look further into the missing aircraft.

Through our facebook page we have now located more families of those missing and we know of at least 5 direct relatives as in sons/sisters/brothers. The more families we find the more chance of more living direct family members. Those still living are moving on in age, and Im sure would like some closure to this mystery.

Another great source of information on the missing plane is - Untitled Document
It is a web page set up by a grandson of one of the men who was on the flight.

Although the name of the link is not showing, ive tried it and it does take you to the page.
