A new country or countries for my modelling bench. An absolutely gorgeous De Havilland DH.100 Vampire in either Swiss or Swedish colours I haven't made my mind up yet. A quick look over the sprues shows they are nice and crisp but the panel lines might need filling or filing.

Only problem the manufacturer forgot to put the propeller in the box and I can't find a spare anywhere.

So far the fit of the parts has been okay and flash free. The wing roots needed a bit of filler and the nose cone was a funny shape but the air intakes are way undersize leaving big gaps that will need filling. I could buy some resin replacements but spare cash is just a memory at the moment and I have plenty of filler. I decided to fit the intakes to the top of the wing as far as possible so any sanding is less visible.

I have filled and sanded the inlets and put a coat of primer on. I think I might put 2 or 3 more coats on then wet sand it flat with 2000 grit.
