I've been busy masking and painting over the last week and finished it today. Here is the sequence of the painting

White sprayed at the invasion stripe locations

Masking for the 18" black stripes using a digital caliper. It works out to .25 or 1/4 inch in 1/72nd scale.

Masked off for overspray

Black stripes sprayed on

Black stripes unmasked. Somewhere along here I masked off and sprayed the sky for the little bit of the fuselage band that is still visible at the aft end of the Invasion stripes

Invasion striped masked off for camouflage painting

Medium sea gray sprayed on the underside

The ocean gray has been painted and the masking for the dark green put on. It's a combination of paper masks made from a print-out of the camo pattern and masking tape.

Masking for the dark green removed leaving on the invasion stripe masking

The wing leading edges masked and sprayed yellow

All the masking removed and ready to start the decal process
