**** DONE: GB-63 1/48 F-82 Twin Mustang 449th Sq Alaska – One Trick Pony

I went ahead and carved a K-14 gunsight out of some sprue

These 3 pictures show the body with the dual lenses and the bumper pad started and then the two pieces glued together



These pictures show it mounted, then painted with the reflector glass glued on. The last picture is the real thing mounted on my P-47 cockpit for comparison. Not perfect, but I think good enough in this scale.

 
I decided to make the under canopy antennas that are seen in a few pictures of the Alaskan based F-82s. I could find very few clear pictured of them and the best of them are shown below. The right and left cockpit antenna were somewhat different from each other.

The first 3 pictures are of the left cockpit and the fourth one is of the right cockpit

The last pictures is what I managed to put together from some thin lead wire, a bit of plastic and some dabs of white glue. Not perfect, but close enough.

Mine made from Lead wire. The right one extends further back because I needed a way to support it
