However, the locking latches on the forward, hinged panel (white arrows) should be at the bottom (rear edge) of the door (red arrow).

Yep. I misunderstood that one.
The basic problem is the parts are reversed - port hatch on starboard wing and vice versa.

Another error. It's "port out starboard home".

Looking good. But IMHO the gun bays cover with the lockers should be attached inversely. The lockers should be at the bottom edge because there was the hinge at the top edge and the door was opened up and forward. Also, the top panel with the lockers kept the bottom one that didn't have the lockers at all. IIRC the same mistake was already made and discussed somewhere.

Yeah I mentioned my balls up earlier in the thread, repositioning those latches will come soon....the panel lines needed to happen first...
