What color are you Twin Pony builders painting the cockpit? The best reference I found is this shot of the restored PROTOTYPE F-82. Note all the Interior Green.

This pic looks contemporary and it looks like a lot of black structure.

Wait a minute... look at the props. Counter on the left, and clock on the right. here is a youtube vid of the restored bird at Oshkosh and the starting sequence shows clock on the left and counter on the right.

These are the same plane, according to wiki North American F-82 Twin Mustang - Wikipedia It was initially built this way. But the explanation does not make sense to me citing " In this arrangement both propellers would turn upward as they approached the center wing, which in theory would have allowed better single-engine control." But that does not seem to jive with the explanation of "critical engine". P-factor - Wikipedia If anyone can square these two wiki entries, please enlighten me. Now I don't understand why the restored airframe color would not be the same as it was when new??? I thought I had 2 things figured out and after an afternoon, I am sure I don't have either. Gaa look at the time, I have to make dinner.

Interior green with Zink Chromate yellow for gear wells and exterior (out side cockpit. The E was produced both in the Day Escort Fighter and night fighter variant. The DEF would be NMF and the night fighter gloss black. (Possibly simi gloss in areas for weathering)

Carpet Monster 1; PlasticHero 0 I am adding a H shaped brace in the canopy frame and this picture was from the 7th. I had them finished and was going to paint this morning but...

it is nowhere to be found on or under my workbench. I will keep my eyes (and wife;s) eyes open for it but I'm going forward. Hope it turns up later. There is a guide on the lower frame that was cut off and the white strip on the fuselage filled in a wide slot behind the seat.. I guess it was for "opening canopy". There is also some structure behind the pilot's seat

that I'm not going to try to replicate; step 11. Here is one of my betas to improve your day.

I have the sides ready to join. Added a little plastic card and decals to add some detail. Big Thanks to A4K for sending the instrument panels.
I am building the escort fighter so I have to fill holes for the radar pod/rocket pod and bomb racks.
