Kind of a cool couple of pictures. I figure circa 1938 or 39. I am pretty sure this is what was then known as Walter Field, and in June 1940 the
Mira Loma Flight Academy was opened on the premises.

Hi Gary,

The best image must have been taken after May 1940 - that's when the designators like "12R" were introduced. Looks like the commander's bird of the 12 Recon Squadron.
