Welcome rgr3d75.
What i hope is clear that there would be considerable difference in camps like stalag 3 or Sweden wich had a friendly attitude towards crews that crash landed there. And were there was indeed a lot of freedom in movement etc.
There is nobody on this board that does not recognize what crews must have been going through. Getting shot out of formation perhaps enemy fighters around engine cutting the crashing quite hard is an ordeal just on its on.

But hardship in a stay in Sweden is a tad much. Perhaps no fun and boring but hardship i think not.

Leon Ford is my Uncle and one of the gunners of the B17 Stinker. Also one of the 2 men who escaped capture when they crashed in Belgium.

Are the 3 pics related to the Stinker? Sorry I'm not totally sure what this forum is for. Thanks

Yes they are. You can see the sources i used to id this B-17 below in the post.

These were, as title says, found on eBay. I research the ones i can using a lot of sites, and if i think it is then interesting i post those pictures.
Looonng ago i decided it was a shame most pictures sold on ebay would be seen ever again so i started collecting then.

Most german soldiers had certainly untill end 1942 cameras and film. They were encouraged to take pictures. Later that was far less but as you can see the still had cameras and film to take pictures of events.
