Did the V2 get the fairing below the cockpit ?
I do not know when V2 was rebuilt. But I do have a several dated images of V1 when it was converted to a high altitude cabin test a/c. and following.
The gondola was not structurally part of the fuselage but an add-on. That is why there were modified versions without them. One infamous LW survivor (IIRC) was a c-stand gunner who was in the gondola over GB when it was literally blown off with him in it.
