Interesting shots, appears to be Bf 109 F-2 that has just run off the airfield perimeter, crossed the road and partly dropped the mainwheels and nose into the hedge and ditch.
Damage looks to be limited to the spinner, but the prop must have hardly been turning.
Also looks like the airfield perimeter is also raised a bit and they are pushing it around to somewhere that they can get it back in! Lucky!

Bit clumsy placed I think. And even so I could whip up something better in an hour.
Actually, the Bf 109 starter handle on the side of the cowling there is very convenient. It is just right for using when standing on the wheel and not bad for a second helper on the wing.
You can see that the grip is split in two half's, which is perfect for two winders, your hand motion works in different parts of the rotation with two of you winding. Believe me, with a single grip, two of you turning it is a battle of strength that wastes your effort, but the split grip is easy!
Here is a pic of one of mine, a genuine original with the 2-piece grip. The part above is the steel tube shaft that the handle drives to the starter itself.

In fact, an inertia starter I believe : the handle don't directly drive the crankshaft, but a set of multiplier gears which turns a flywheel faster and faster, subsequently engaged on the engine.
