IMHO the pic was taken at the pre-war airbase of the Polish AF in Małaszewicze near Terespol and Brest ( formerly Brest-Litovsk and Brest-on-the-Bug). The wrecks were used for the German propaganda movie "Kampfgeschwader Lützow" , 1940/1941 showing the air raid on the airfield on the September 1st, 1939.

That is an interesting picture, does the MLG of this example rotate and retract aft? It does not look to have the standard production MLG that used 2 main wheels and retracted straight aft. Or is that the normal MLG with some sort of cover over the wheels? Wurger?

The PZL 37 Łoś in the pic is the second PZL 37/II Łoś prototype, serial 72.2 . The picture wasn't taken at the airfield in Cracow but in the Aviation Training Center No. 2 in Krosno. There were sent two PZL 37s that were used for the training in technical maintenance and for school purposes. The wheel covers aren't the standard things. These were used for protection of the wheels against the dust and mud that was everywhere on the airfield of the Training Center. If the covers were attached it wasn't possible to retract the main landing gear. The covers are the characteristic details for the Training Center in Krosno and were used there only.
