Howdy all,

My first post here.

I've been scouring the internet for info on what options a B-29 crew had during WWII in the case of an emergency but it's hard to fit the bits and pieces of info together. Hoping someone here can help :)

To be specific- I'm writing a story. In my story a B-29 is shot down and crash lands in the lagoon of an island with a few survivors making it to shore.

If their onboard radio was no longer working what options did they have? So far I have seen references to a 'Gibson Girl' radio and an AN/CRC-7 radio. If one of those is correct, do you know how they are used?

Thanks in advance!

What a great website! :)
