Engines in Museum

Been to both of those museums on many occasions. Love them both.

I always take pics of the aircraft, and not the engines. I need to change that. Thanks for sharing.
 
It's unlikely that engines displayed in museums have the capability or 'back-up' to be run.
In the main, they are 'static'displays, and 'inhibited' for preservation purposes, wih many lacking all ancilliaries and connections.
However, there are engines in some smaller museums, mainly privately owned, and mainly 'visiting' these museumes, that can be run, on static stands.
