Not bad but I think I would have gone about have the darkness on the panel line shading.Notice how the panel shading on the stars looks much more effective and to scale than the rest.Just a minor critique that's why we display too learn.

Welcome to the forum Wings. Looks to be 1/48. Nice seam work, overall finish and good decal work. The panel line weathering is a very personal thing and there are plenty of examples of faded and worn Corsairs. I agree with Kevin on the panel line treatment, but again, that's down to personal taste and I'm sure that there are just as many people who prefer this approach. Overall, a very nice model that you can be proud of. For future builds, you might want to consider getting yourself some nylon invisible mending thread available at sewing stores - (yeah, I kinda feel weird going in there but you don't need to do it often!) - and using this for your antenna wre. It provides a very convincing scale antenna in my opinion.

Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff and hope you might consider joining a Group Build some day.

Thank you for the input! I am in agreement. This is my first USMC bird. I see how subtle weathering is compared to luftwaffe iron. Its been a great learning experience, and an invaluable tool to heighten my skills, as well as my first time using a double action airbrush. I'm looking forward to some group builds in the future. It is 1/48, and its a tamiya kit. X2 p51s (bravo, and a delta), and a mossy mk6 all in 1/48 by tamiya are on the workbench now.

Agree with all. I noticed the first set of pics took some time to load - could you please up-load direct to the forum, having re-sized to no more than 800 x 600 px. This prevents the slowing down of the forum, and allows ease of viewing, thanks.

No problem, and I forgot to add - welcome to the crazy club!
If you don't have a photo-editing programme, then download 'Irfanview'. It's free, and very easy to use.

I like the tank :thumbright: was thinking about that on the way home from work today Walker Bulldog or the Panther?I have a Roden 1/48 Nieport 17 on the desk ATTM.

Walker bulldog would be a neat kit to see. Tiger 1 late war command tank has been my struggle for armor for the last few months. I believe I hate p.e. lol

Ever use Gator Glue for PE?works pretty good I use it on ships. It has an elasticity property to it when dry so should you hit or tap the PE later it does not ping off like SG does.

My problem is improper bends, and losing parts lol. How do I go about joining a group build? Sorry folks, uber n00b here

The current build is open to entries that are Jet age 1944-45, or transport, observation and recon aircraft. It runs from Feb 1st to May 31st, so plenty of time.
Go to the Group Build thread and look at any of our threads to see how the heading and information on the aircraft is formated. Pick up a kit and join in!

You will see were the kits cannot be started for the most part (photo required) and then pic your entry level.

Before doing any of that, read the Rules, and the Photo Requirements, posted in the general section of the Group Builds threads.
Note that the Rules are currently being revised, but only to clarify a couple of points, and shouldn't affect your entry. (The main thing being amended is the point regarding places per scale - this will read per Category in the amended rules.)
