Hi, my mother lost 2 brothers in WW2, both were in Bomber Command. In searching for pictures of the air crew I found Ian Lanc had built a model of the plain in which my uncle died Lancaster R5546. If anyone has photos of
49 Sq up to June 1942 or Avro Manchester R5794, lost 2 June 1942 or
50 Sq before April 1944 or Avro Lancaster R5546, lost 31 March 1944
please let me know.

R5546 was coded "VN-T" when lost 30/31/03/44. Four crew killed, three became Pow''s , two were Australian Hope this helps.

Very many thanks Alex, Gil Geerngs contacted me as he is also researching the crew of Manchester R5794 - 49sq. I was able to provide the photo of Ernie for the 49sq Personnel Index. This is the only photo our family have of Ernie, which is why I have been searching for images of the crew and their kite if available.
I have also contacted 49sq association but time has past and there are now no members from 1942.
Stay safe.
John
