Hi All,

What is your favorite plane to just fly (not fight in?) Is it different to the one you like to fight in?

I like to fly the corsair to enjoy flying, but can't fight it well, so prefer soemting I can turn and burn in.

Cheers.

Spitfire or Tempest! The B-25 is a gas to fly also, but the Boston is a faster plane, both are great fun.

Trogdor - a reference to Homestar Runner???

I had an Air Force guy in one of my old squadrons that wore a patch of strong bad on his shoulder.

Good Question!!1:)

I like flying any P51, but ABSOLUTLY HATE fighting in them.

Down low in scissors: any P40!!! Even the P38 is lovely in slow scissors. Both with compat flaps and the Me109. Trust me

Zoom climb tactics: F4F, F4U, P51, and again the P38 and Me 109, Spitfire

Turn Fights: Again the P38(to me it is a very good all round fighter. try a 400mph turn and open the airbrake, a few will turn with it!!!) Spitfire, Zero, all the biplanes

I hate flying any FW190, dont no why:rolleyes:

This is limited views :)

Contrary to Edie I like flying Fw 190, especially D version ( A8 variant is a bit heavy) but for fighting I prefer LaGG-3 or La-5FN/7.

I like the Tempest. Those four 20mm's can take care of anything. Or, for that matter, the Mossie. Kaboom!

You also get updated Maps, 'Realistic' Engine Sound.........i.e The Merlin, DB's, P W etc..........and many more.

But you must have Il-2: 46: Patch 4.08 for the above to work though.

But one thing though you can not post a Link on this site to other folks here except in PM though m8 ;)

Anyone who hasn't, I highly recommend getting these planes. Also you can get a sound modification that just sounds incredible. Great stuff!

I know I shouldn't really post this here, but the Sound Mod has now a new aircraft with its own slot:

Spitfire Mk. Ia.

It doesn't replace anything and the 'Site' has many more Mods out and more new 'flyables' coming:

Seafire F.47.

Spit XII (With Griffon Sound).

Ju-88C.

Send me a PM here and I will send you to a Site that has these planes now as 'Flyable':

Could you send me that link, too?

On topic:

Since I only know the stock planes:

Me-163 is absolutely beautiful to fly, i also like the 109 a lot. Fw 190... only the D-9 works for me. I also like the Il-2 for low altitude: it is rediculously easy to handle. A6M Zero's are also nice. And F4U.

Folks tend to find this easier then registering at the sound mod site - you don't have to register he m8, just follow the links and instructions 8)

Click

.......and as you can see you get more new aircraft in their own slot, but you do need IL-2: 46 to run all this though m8:

New aircraft in their own slots:

Bf-109F-1 with 1 MG-FF and 2 MG-17
I-153 with 2 BS 12.7mm/.50" MG
I-153 with 2 SHKAS 7.62/.330" and 1 BS 12.7mm/.50" MG
I-153 Finnish modification, 4 Browning 7.7mm MG
Fw-190A-5U14, torpedo-jager
