The Mk XIV was a development of the Mk VIII and was powered by a Rolls-Royce Griffon 65 or 66. It was the first large-scale production Griffon-engined Spitfire

This Spitfire is RB188 DL-K 'Brunhilde', a Mk.XIVe of 91 Sqn RAF West Malling, used to hunt down V-1's. It was flown at various times by Flt. Lt. Ken Collier, Flt. Lt. H D Johnson, and Flt. Lt. Jean Maridor.
