When I started this Zombie Build I had in fact 8 Zeroes in various stages of completion and saw this GB as a way to get some completed.
Starting with the Primary Subject Build from the new Eduard series of Zero releases.

The subject aircraft coded 2187 an A6M2 Zero flown by Warrant Officer Kanichi Kashimura
582 Kokutai based at Buin Airfield Bouganville in March 1943.
On the 6th March 1943 in a fighter escort mission Kashimura was shot down and Killed, his aircraft coming down in the shallow waters off Pavuvu Island in the Russell Islands group.

I kept this as the Primary build and tackled 3 other A6M2 as secondary builds rather than additional group Builds in the likely event they didn't get finished, however each was completed in good time along with one additional A6M3 before then completing the Primary build.
SO…Here are the final images of the primary Build.
This aircraft was estimated built in August 1942 so may have been in active service for some months before being shot down in early March 1943, therefore being a Land based Zero and likely subject to the elements of the South Pacific theatre for a period of time the Finish has been 'dulled down' to a Satin/matte finish from it's original Glossy application.

…and the secondary completed Builds in following posts……5 out of 8 is not a bad result….

and the secondary builds.
AI-159 A6M2 Zero Model 21 Reported New Information identifies this Zero as flown by Lt.Cdr. Shigeru Itaya, Buntaicho of AKAGI Fighter Group. rather than the previously recognized AI-155 with 3 Yellow Command Stripes.
This Zero retains it Glossy finish as it would have been kept in pristine condition being the Fighter group Commanders aircraft, as well as being stowed below decks out of the elements.

V-117 A6M2 Model 21 Zero flown by Buntaicho Lt. Masao Seto of the Tainan Kokutai in early 1942 when the aircraft codes were White with thin Red borders.
Being a Land based Zero and likely subject to the elements of the South Pacific theatre for a short period of time the Finish has been 'dulled down' from it's original Glossy application.
There are references that show the Blue Diagonal bands and Red Tail Stripes and also in reverse, Red Diagonal Stripes and Blue tail Stripes.

V-187 A6M3 Model 32, pilot unknown, based initially at Rabaul and later found abandoned at BUNA airfield.
The photo shows V-187 based at Rabaul before transferring to Buna in New Guinea.

This also being a Land based Zero and likely subject to the elements of the South Pacific theatre for a period of time the Finish has been 'dulled down' from it's original Glossy application. When captured and many photo's taken the Original Glossy finish had been reduced somewhat to a Satin/matte finish from it's exposure to the elements.
