Does anyone know how to upgrade from a pentium 2, to a pentium 3? I understand that they have different slots or something, but I wanted to replace mine without getting a whole new motherboard. Ive searched everywhere for help, but I cant find anything.

It'sbeen awhile, so I am not sure. But most times when you upgrade the processor, you are also increasing the clock speed. Older mother boards may not support the faster speeds. Typically, it is best to do both at the same time to be sure. The hazard there is that you may also need faster memory.

Sorry you'll need to replace the motherboard.
PII is a slot 1 device PIII is a Socket 370 device.
