For our lost Marines, and Sailor

Yesterday near San Clemente Island, a USMC amphibious assault vehicle foundered, taking eight service members down with it. Eight Marines were able to escape, but one died and two others are hospitalized. Still missing are seven Marines and one sailor. Our prayers go out to the families and friends of those lost. May God rest their souls.

The rescue operation has been terminated. A recovery operation is being implemented to recover the bodies from the AAV which sank in deep water off the coast of California.
