Hi apparently dad bought a couple of war surplus engines and stuck em in the barn they have these markings on a plate "packard built rolls-royce aaf model v1650-9" appears to be some kind of aircraft engines don't know much about them they appear to be in good condition. Would they have any value? they are huge defiantly worth something for scrap.

Yep, that's a Packard-built Merlin tag. Hang on to them and get a qualified aircraft technician to take a look at them. Depending on condition, these could be quite valuable. DON'T scrap them!

Now gotta find someone to take a look at them.

Please post pictures. I am sure everyone would like to see them. We can also help you identify them.

We however do not allow the advertisement of items for sale on this forum.

Pics would sure be great -what a time capsule!!!
Sad to think some people probably do scrap such things not knowing what they are!
