Could he be thinking about Gremany?Well, it's not like it happened every day or something?!
Why?I will be very surprised if the p51 s historians admit/confirm any loss to a D9.

im not here to bias the germansIn that case Germany won just last year. The p-51 never entered en left German airspace in one piece. It was 3-2 home and 4-3 away. The FW190D-9 team won the war and signed a big sponsor deal with Adidas.
Question is for another member.idk , am just doing nothing rn
Four FW 190Ds bounced 354FS flight of three, through 1000 ft ceiling clouds. One Fw 190D shot down by Al White, Goth shot down by 190D chasing another one, Truell chased one n split S and crashed. Two FW 190D shot down same day by 357FS Cullerton and Long. Other Fw 190D shot down by 355th include two (each) Graham/Kemper 1-14, Duffy, Lyons and Ludeke on 2-9.There was an interesting combat between two P-51Ds of the 355th FG and a pair of Fw-190D on April 4, 1945. Both P-51s were shot down, with possibly one FW-190D lost.
That is problematic, but possible. March 19, 78 FG lost five (total) in a fight with JG 26 and 27. OTOH, the 78th destroyed 32 incl 24 Bf 109s and 4 FW 190D, 1 FW 190, one Ar 234. The 78FG MACrs stated Bf 109s for the five losses. The 479th also destroyed two JG 26 FW 190Ds that day for no losses. The 339th destroyed four IV/JG 26 FW 190Ds on 18 March the day before with no losses.i have heard about air battle over osnabruck
where P-51D's of the 78th FG suffered big losses against Fw 190 D-9s of JG 26
(6 p-51s shot down in turn of one fw 190 down)
Anecdotally, the 78th FG shot down 9 JG 26 FW 190Ds on Jan 14th for loss of two. The 357th got into a big fight near Brandenberg/Berlin with JG 300/301 FW 190s and some 109s. Shot down 53 for 3 losses, Don't know how many D-9s were in that fight.
