On the Atlas space booster an interface was added between the fuel system and the hydraulic system to allow fuel to automatically replace hydraulic oil with the RP-1 fuel in the event of a bad hydraulic leak. Sure, you might be peeing fuel all over the sky but you could afford to lose a lot more of that than you could losing the flight controls As for possibility of the hydraulic oil leaking into the fuel system, Rocketdyne answered that issue by running an MA-5 rocket engine on 100% Mil-H-5606 to prove it was not a concern.
I'm a bit surprised that aircraft never adopted that approach.
