Does anyone have a learned opinion on which wing/tailplane camo scheme is considered the more accurate for the Fw 190D-9 red 1 of JV 44? Eduard in their 2010 1/48 dual combo give the following scheme, with wings RLM83/RLM82, same as fuselage, and in agreement with Crandall:

...while their 2021 Weekend edition has wings of RLM74/RLM75:

I'm not sure which way to jump now, but was favouring the Crandall interpretation, given he'd interviewed pilots who flew the aircraft. Just wondering what influenced Eduard's thoughts 11 years later?

Jerry Crandall changed his initial interpretation from the 'then' 82/83 Wings in his original Doras of the Galland Circus to the 74/75 Greys interpretation in his later Fw190 Dora volume 2.

There is a well known Colour photo of Red 1 from the front, even though it is slightly out of focus you can see the Greys on the upper leading edge of the wings.
