Thank you all,

I've been working on the railroad, Oh no, sorry on the engines and main wheels/tires. Still on the sprue.... All you Beaufighter guy's let me know if I've screwed some thing up. The leading lip of the cowl calls for bronze but with the exhaust manifold running through it (I think) I used the exhaust manifold color from Vallejo Meatal colors. To my eye it looked correct.

Well there are challenges to each and every kit, some more so than others, right? The engines proved to be a bit of that on this kit. more so the the aftermath cowlings and cowl flap alignment. The engines were not a really bad issue just a little force in getting the heads to clamp down tight. The exhaust was a bit more, but I was sure I got the proper alignment. Well, seem not. There is a "T" marking on the back of the exhaust that is to align with the slot on the firewall. That did not happen on either engine, on one is was so far off I had to cut it off and do a manual alignment. the other, well it just a hair off and I'll need to trim the cowl flap back a bit.

the setup for the engine is for you to put the cowl ring on and then the exhaust manifold on and then three cowling panels and then the cowl flaps. This was a little tricky but not too bad. There was some alignment issue with the cowling panels but once the cowl flap ring was on most everything played nice. A little filing and it cleaned up.

The landing lights were two small clear round lights that went into the wing. I knew this was trouble from the get go.... Yes one went flaying and not in the plane. the other after a lot of &$%@*&%$^ing made it.

Yellow box and arrow are the issue.

So somewhere in the build I got something off in the alignment and well...... Now you know the rest of the story...

Wojtek can actually move the post. While we are at it Don, the crankcase on wartime Hercules engines were black, not grey.

Interesting landing gear.
First you have two long pistons (I think) and two attachments for each.

and they are to be attached to two delicate arms.

and than, they don't tell you anything, but you start on a new subject. All the while I'm trying to understand how the first assembly is supposed to go together.

I must have gone clipper crazy and cut the strut in half, I build up the upper and lower halfs sepratly and then super glued the one strut together as it had the support and alingment from the other side.
