After market items Eduard canpy mask , Eduard markings mask set

I got the the new tooled 1/48 Airffix Fairey Gannet in the mail yesterday and was ecited to starton this. I figured i van have this done by the end of June. This kit has excellent fit and detail . This might be a pretty quick assembley . Cockpit will take some vaiation of black since that is the main cockpit color . I have a set of the Eduard marking mask cooming . Going for the markings of the 849 Naval Squadron HQ Trainging Flight out of Royal Naval Station Culdrose , Circa 1959. I'm amazed how small ths plane is . 14 1/2 inch wing spang and 12 roughly long . First area betwen the weapons bay and cickpit floor box was filled with 12 grams of wieght . My first Gannet will be built with the wings extended .

Got the cockpit sprayed with my own Tamiya cockpit black mix . Mix of Tamiya black , white and german grey . Next to get the kit cockpit decals on . Tail wings and landing flaps been assembled. I'll decied later if im doing flaps up or down . The fit of the wheel wells on the bottom wing is excellent . Ill spray some Tamiya LP-11 Aluminum on then before gluing the upper and lower wings .

Fairy Gannet cockpit complete . . I added 49 grams of the 55 grams of weight in the those that was required . I was like not sure how add 55 in the nose . Once I dry fit the wing on and tail wings on I'll see if I need to add 7grams of weight to the forward weapon bay . No issues closings the airframe up at all !
