Here in the first two pictures is the right fuselage after 2 1/2 hours of filing, filling with CA, Filing again and sanding, sanding, sanding, and sanding.
quite a lot of filing on the fuselage joint was necessary, and a whole lot on the nose to fuselage joints. all these areas were wet sanded with 400 and 600 grit, then because of a lot of rough texture in a lot of other places I went over the entire thing with 800 and 1000 Grit.
While handling the fuselage while working on it I kept thinking that this thing was huge for a Mustang, so I pulled out a P-51A I had in the stash to compare (third picture) and WOW, Just WOW.
