Made a bit of headway on Friday.

All the decals were finished:



The decals were a combination of Hasegawa (imsignia) and Aviaeology (codes). All behaved very will with Tamiya Mark Soft solution.



Next came adding some panel wash and general schmutz using artist's oils.



The undercarriage and rad louvre were then glued in place and left to set:



Next up will be spraying on a matte coat and gluing on the tires, which have been moulded with flat spots and bulges. Then it will be on to more weathering, painting and adding the exhausts, fiddly bits and bombs. Should easily finish this week barring catastrophes.

Wheels added after dusting up the tires:



Taking the masks off the canopy showed that I have some cleanup to do. There's tape residue and some paint got under the masks. Also, the sprue attachment point had broken off badly in the box and can be seen pretty clearly. I'll see if I can improve that.
