Back on the subject of seat cushions, I stumbled across a good discussion here:

Between the bit of sniping there's some good reference info.

More here Andy, unless you've seen them. These are for earlier models but also state the P-51D. My seat is stayin', just sayin'

More fuel to the debate Andy and it seems to me that unless one finds concrete picture proof of back cushion or no, it's up to the whim of the builder.

After some meticulous masking, I sprayed the various stringers and frames with Tamiya XF-4 and then stripped the tape. Your can see how the tape stained the Aluminum paint but I actually don't mind it.

I then picked out some details with silver, black, and interior green and began the detailing process by adding some wire looms made of painted solder.

Lots of snow coming overnight so I may be at the bench some more tomorrow. Talk soon.

Next step in the wheel well was to add the fuel lines, complete with hose couplings, clamps, and red pipe identifiers! Before doing this, I added the cylinders for the door retractors after having cut the oleos off as they'd break pretty quick.

Next up will be hydraulic lines but, in the meantime, I went on to finish something a bit easier - the flaps. Some nice details provided by Eduard here too.
