Here is the final schedule for the next 8 projects as determined by the poll here: Group Builds 66 to 73 Official Poll 10 votes allowed
I've tried to mix up the size, era and mission types here. The way that I'm defining the builds are my opinion and certainly look forward to spirited debate! Zombie/Fav was always going to be first because of the short time to schedule this so everyone should have something already available. I ended with Home Country because this would be a fun end to the builds and let people really show themselves. I even managed to schedule in an anniversary.

GB 66 - Zombie/Favorite Aircraft in your stash - May 1, 2025 to September 7, 2025
Since this starts in 6 days; I wanted everyone to have something available. This Zombie Build is to resume and finish any aircraft model that was started and abandoned, whether in a previous GB or not. I can't enforce the stash part, but it would be fun to see it in your closet.

GB 67 - Twin Engine in WWII - August 1, 2025 to December 7, 2025
This is for twin engine aircraft in service from September 1, 1939, when Poland was invaded to September 2, 1945, the sighing of the formal surrender of Japan. This is two weeks after the armistice on August 15. I extended this partly because the date was almost exactly 6 years and to enable any special post war markings that there might be interest in.

GB 68 - We All Build Fw 190 - November 1, 2025 to March 1, 2026
Like Spitfirve and One Trick Pony; this is any model Fw 190 at any time. I don't know of any post war use but if there was, it is eligible. I found some post war use here on this forum FW-190 Post War service

GB 69 - Maritime Aircraft in WWII - February 1, 2026, to June 7, 2026
I spent a lot of time thinking of how to define this. The guidelines I came up with is an aircraft whose primary mission involves over ocean operations. This generally includes larger land based aircraft or seaplanes for recon/rescue/attack and carrier launched aircraft designed specifically to attack sea targets and would be torpedo or dive bombers. Fighters would not be included even though they could attack shipping.

GB 70 - Start of WWII Spanish Civil War to Fall of France - May 1, 2026, to September 6, 2026
The 90th anniversary of the start of the Spanish Civil War is July 17, 1936, which brings an additional layer of significance to this build. The other significant date is June 25, 1940 when France surrendered. This build is for any aircraft operating in the Western European Theater in that time frame.

GB 71 - Recon/Transport/Training Aircraft in WWII - August 1, 2026, to December 6, 2026
This is all aircraft whose primary role in WWII was recon, transport or training. Transport includes personnel so paratroops, vip or covert ops (Lysander) or some converted bombers (Swoose Goose) and I'll allow that.

GB 72 - Pacific Theater in WWII - November 1, 2026, to March 7, 2027
This is for in service aircraft operating in the Pacific including China from July 7, 1937 (the Japanese invasion of Manchuria) until September 2, 1945.

GB 73 - Home Country Plane or Markings - February 1, 2027, to June 6, 2027
This is an aircraft from or in the markings of your home country at any time. I would really like to see the thoughts on what makes this one special to you and significant to your country.

I want to make some clarifications about what is and isn't eligible in the different builds. I want to define that a build in a constrained theater, role or time is "in service" which means performing its design function by regular personnel. Other builds like 190 or Home Country are phrased to allow any variant. This also to allow Experimental builds.

Thank you very much for your hard work!

Looks like fun. I've already got a couple ideas. I just ordered an old Lindberg Grumman Goose off of Ebay. I'm thinking about using that for #67, because I already have a Black Cat PBY for the maritime GB.

Good luck with that one. I build it back in group build #22 and its real rough and needs a lot of work to get a decent result.
I expected as much. What can I say, I'm apparently a glutton for punishment. But it's such a great airplane I really want it on my shelf.
I'll go back and take a look at your build.
