George Preddy P-40E and P-47 Decals?

You'll have to kinda wing it. I'd do it like I figured out the size of my full size P-47 panel. Paste the picture from the decal sheet into a word or excel document where you can size it easily then make the size of it on your screen match a 1/48 scale fuselage 1/2, then just measure the lettering. looking at the picture it looks like letters of 3/16" or 1/4" might work. I'll look around tonight and see if I have that old sheet and if it is a size you can use. Do you know if 'TARHEEL' is on both sides of the plane?

Aeromaster (if you can find it) did a sheet in 1/48 on Preddy's P-40E. It's entitled Top Guns of the USAAF or something close to that.

Getting the nose art for the starboard side is going to be a LOT tougher than the lettering.

Glenn his early P-40 had Tarheel on both side which is what I'm going to build.
