I just got done reading a review of the G.W. P-61 over on Aeroscale that stated it was not much more than a updated clone of the old Monogram kit. This got me thinking, so I pulled a Monogram TBD-1 off the pile and compared it against the thumbnails from Great Wall. To my old and tired eyes they look very similar. Close enough at any rate that I will most definitly wait for a full build review before even thinking about purchasing one. This also puts to bed any ideas I had about aquiring G.W.'s P-61. I'll build the Monogram kit and break out the skills. More fun that way. Anybody else feel this way?

I have not seen the GW kit up close but the Monogram kit was, and is still, a great kit.

Just got done reading the in-box review over on cybermodeler. At $66.95 I will stick with the Monogram kit.

Yes it is scribed and somewhat more detailed, but IMHO, it's not worth 70.00 bucks of my money. I'll pick one up on E-Bay in a few years.
