That includes his infamous "P-47 #6: Range, Deceit, and Treachery" video. He is arguing that the only reason the P-47 didn't have the range to escort was political. Says he'll only debate someone credentialed or another YouTuber. Not sure if it's a genuine proposal or just to placate his fans; but I do know he's unfairly crapped on some people here so this might be your opportunity to set the record straight.

Do you have a specific link?

I'm your huckleberry but you'll have to agree to split the monetization. We can debate P-47 Range vs Bomber Mafia (or Kartveli), we can debate Fokker as a flyspeck on Norh American organization and growth or we can debate my understanding of aerodynamics vs yours. But then you banned me forcontrary views - do you have the guts? "

Greg (YouTube) definitely has his opinions but he doesn't frame them as such. He's very comfortable making educated assumptions on clearly debatable topics and presenting them as facts. On top of this he becomes very unprofessional and down right rude if you question ANY of his talking points.

But what's probably worse is the way his minions worship and defend him like some sort of aviation demigod. It's very difficult to stomach all the ass kissing and praise that's being displayed on his channel. Makes me almost vomit.

Looking forward to watching him being knocked down a few pegs during a debate with Bill or any other aviation authority who accepts his arrogant challenge.

I'd rather on such things take Bill's word for it vs some YouTuber who seems to have a sketchy record, considering his credentials and the amount of research he and others have done. Being on this forum has helped me understand quite a bit about World War II aviation.

Granted, there's too many people who are too lazy to do a bit of research of their own on these subjects. That's how myths become accepted as facts with little evidence to back it up other than the same stuff getting repeated over and over again.

Granted, to me, YouTube is for entertainment, listening to music and humorous videos while I'm reading online, and such. Forums like this, accredited articles and books for me are for serious research.

It's like the German Army's G95 "controversy" that was debunked pretty quickly But that was IMO worse, given that this got out from people who know nothing about guns or how they work or how they're tested for performance, and the ignorant, dumb-ass click-bait media ran with it until the German Army itself debunked it.

Thanks ObtuseO - I'm laughing because he knows he banned/blocked me. It's funny because Andrew Horton of Flight Line Media that Gregs praised (deservedly) for recent interviews - is funding my YouTube series on the Mustang. I teed up a piece with Bill Lyons that should air soon - to talk about his November 26 narrative included in my book "Our Might Always; History of the 35th Fighter Group". Bill will be 100 this coming June.

I just reached out to Andrew to see if we want to push up the P-47 vs P-51 range discussion.

BTW - Horton is a reserve F-15 driver in the Utah guard and a FedX pilot.

Been looking out for your series, NGL. Glad to hear it's still coming. Paul Woodage at WW2TV might be another to reach out to, he's got a good system.

I'll start checking Flight Line Media out, thanks.

Hi Bill I just watched that video you referenced where he ridiculed your valid comments concerning the P-47 range debacle. In it he mentions that he banned you for two months so being that the video is over three months old perhaps you're now back in good graces with the master of the aviation universe. Have you attempted to log into his channel recently?

An invitation to a debate only makes the host look good. It doesn't seem that this is a good faith thig if he's blocking and deleting critics' comments on his videos.
