Hawker Henley

Aside from being 4 ft longer and 8ft more wingspan the Henley had the same Merlin II/III engine as the Early Hurricane and in all probability a 2 pitch prop.
How much performance would have come out of a constant speed propeller just out of curiosity?

The RAF already had its fair share of "Pigs in knickers" so another munter like the Henley just isnt on.
What's a munter?

The specification that lead to the Fairey Barracuda was issued in 1937. Granted it took until Dec 1940 for the prototype to fly but the Henley would never have been more than temporary fill in aircraft that sucked up time and effort and delayed things even more than what happened.

This might sound like a strange question as I remember being told that the Fairey Battle was capable of a limited dive-bombing mission: What was the maximum dive-angle and load-factor?
