Hi all,
I am a model maker looking for detailed images or drawings of the Mosquito control column.
I'm not quite sure where I should ask this, so I'll start here - but feel free to move this.
I am in the process of 3D modelling the top end of the Control Column. I'm using a front and side elevation that I found in the BF6 AP2019E maintenance manual, and the usual internet image trawl. Ultimately, I want to use the final model for flight simulators. By and large, for my purposes, these images have been good enough... but I'd like it to be as faithful as I can manage. If possible I could really use some better angles of the left side and back of the controls. Naturally, most images I've found are viewed from seat or through the door. I'm really struggling to see the brake lever, or 20mm firing lever. Nor can I make out how the wires to the button unit and camera button are routed.
I have also emailed the De Havilland museum, but they haven't got back to me yet. They are tantalising 40 mins away, and do a cockpit tours that would surely be the answer to all my needs. Unfortunately that cockpit experience is booked up for 2024, and I also have a few mobility issues going on at the moment that might make that an interesting experience in other ways.
Thanks for reading
