I'm fairly new to IL2 and have been trying to fly the La-7, and have been trying to find out what the optimum climb speed and angle is.
Can anyone here point me in the right direction?

heck i don't even know the difference, dude i can't really tell any angle except 180, 90 and 45, or 360m or whatever, i just kick in the throttle and zoom away

try and keep between about 250-300km/h in the climb, I think about 250km/h is about optimum for most aircraft. I dont really fly the La7 much though I think it has good climb, drop your flaps to combat if you really need to climb quickly at the expense of speed and sustained climb. Just watch your instruments and once your speed starts dropping too low, ease the nose down until it starts increasing again.
