MISSION TEXAS
Hello, from the Rio Grande Valley in Deep South Texas. I am extremely interested in WWII era aircraft, and am looking towards of learning about them, and perhaps the planes that I am having problems finding information on.
What started my intrest of WWII warbirds was my Grandfather who served in the AAF during WWII. He took my to an airshow and I had an opertunity too see the aircraft of WWII and I was really impressed. The final straw was when I toured a B-17-G Flying Fortress (Sedimental Journey of CAF). From that time on, I got in gear in High school, the proceeded to College in persuit of an Pilots license.
I have a good start with a warbird pictures, parts from planes, and books.
I am working on a collection of model WWII planes, and hope someday I have all planes of WWII in model form ( perhaps start an museum )

From the Valley, huh? Where? I used to live in Los Fresnos, but that was many years ago.

Welcome to the site.

That's a good idea. Most airplane museums have a bunch of models in them. Perhaps you could contribute to a local one. Some museums even pay for models to be built.
